How do stigmas work in AION 2?
Stigmas are extra skills you slot on top of your class kit. Each class has its own pool (Gladiator has 13, for example), and you pick four. On AION 2 Global:
- Slots: 4, opening at character level 22, 27, 32 and 37.
- Max level: 20. Korea and Taiwan go to 25, but that tier is not on Global (see differences).
- Cost: stigma shards. 1 shard acquires a stigma; each level after that costs more.
How many shards does each level cost?

Where do you get stigma shards?
- Nightmare shop: Stigma Shards cost 1,500 Nightmare currency, up to 35 per cycle.
- Season shop: spend Abyss points on stigma shards and Daevanion crystals rather than early PvP gear.
- Shugo Festival: attend every one at level 45; rewards include stigma shards.
Should you use different stigmas for PvE and PvP?
Yes. Most classes swap two or three stigmas between dungeons, the Abyss and the Arena. Set up three skill presets (PvE, PvP and leveling) so swapping takes one click. Leveling sets favor AoE stigmas; boss sets favor buffs and single-target damage. The respec guide covers what each kind of reset costs.
