AION 2 Beginner Guide: 15 Things to Do in Week One

What should a new AION 2 player do first?

Pick a class (the classes guide helps), follow the main story to level 45, and upgrade your gear to +10. Most systems open at 45. After that, AION 2 runs on a weekly loop that resets every Wednesday at 07:00 UTC (reset timer), and missed weekly caps are lost. These are the first-week rules that matter.

Use these before the first weekly reset

1. Daily Dungeon: 7 entries per week. Despite the name, the limit is weekly; you can use all 7 in one day.
2. Never sit at the Odyle energy cap (840). It regenerates 15 every 3 hours from level 22. Craft all 7 weekly energies through Substance Morph.
3. Nightmare charges build up at 2 per day to 14. Spend them before they cap.
4. Transcendence opens at 1,600 item level, but wait for about 1,800: the second reward pool gives blue Arcana instead of green.
5. Ascension Trial last. 3 attempts per week; run them right before the reset at your highest item level.
6. Duty quests and Abyss commander scrolls: reroll rare ones for enhancement stones and Abyss points.

One-time things not to miss

7. Main story to 45 first. It ends with a gold weapon, the Ascension Bracelet and wings. Redeem any active AION 2 codes before your first dungeon runs.
8. Enhance to +10, then stop. Success is 100% up to +10. Do weapon and accessories first. See the enchanting guide.
9. Amulet and belt to +10, then Morph them to the next color (unequip first).
10. Keep unusable yellow items. They make soulbinding rerolls 100% successful.
11. Feathers to the Monolith. Around 95 feathers reach level 11 and give stats, a costume and a title.
12. Season shop: don’t buy blind. Skip early PvP gear; spend Abyss points on Daevanion crystals and stigma shards.
13. Shugo Festival at 45. Attend every one for gold gear, crafting materials and stigma shards.
14. Set up your macro. It is not bound by default. See the macro setup for every class.
15. Kill every world boss once for a drop chance and a participation title.

How do groups work in AION 2?

Group content runs as 5-player expeditions and 10-player sanctuaries, and Elyos and Asmodians can queue together. Dungeon rewards depend on your damage contribution, so even healers should attack. The dungeon guide lists what unlocks when.
