What classes are in AION 2?
AION 2 Global launched with eight classes. Every character starts the same way and picks a class early. Each class uses exactly one weapon type, any class can be either gender, and both factions (Elyos and Asmodians) can play every class. A ninth class, the Brawler, exists only in Korea and Taiwan so far.
Gladiator build
EasyMelee DPS, off-tank · Greatsword
Simple, sturdy melee damage that holds boss aggro through damage alone.
Templar build
MediumTank, party buffer · Sword and shield
The main tank. Damage is your limit, so race Judgment, Punishment and Pummel to 20.
Assassin build
HardMelee burst DPS · Dual daggers
Highest burst ceiling in melee, but you must stay behind the target and land crits.
Ranger build
MediumRanged physical DPS · Bow
Safe ranged damage built around a fully charged Deadshot under Precision.
Sorcerer build
MediumRanged magic DPS · Spellbook
Fire and ice AoE caster. Manage MP early; skills realistically stop at 16 in Season 1.
Spiritmaster build
HardSummoner, magic DPS · Orb
Spirit summoner that cycles four elements into Elemental Fusion. High ceiling, ping-sensitive.
Cleric build
MediumHealer with earth and lightning damage · Mace
The only class with resurrection. Always in demand, and does real damage between heals.
Chanter build
MediumMelee support, buffer · Staff
Melee support that buffs the party with mantras and hits hard through the Dark Crush loop.

What are the roles in AION 2?
- Tank: Templar, with Gladiator as an off-tank.
- Healer: Cleric.
- Support: Chanter (Cleric also buffs).
- Melee DPS: Gladiator, Assassin.
- Ranged DPS: Ranger (physical), Sorcerer and Spiritmaster (magic).
Groups run as 5-player expeditions and 10-player sanctuaries, so tanks and healers are always in demand.
